Activities are available to all participants but pool schedule might mean that someone has to miss meditation on certain days.
For yoga sessions, participants need to provide their own yoga mats. Consider bringing a large pool/beach towel as a bolster. No blocks or straps will be needed.
Anyone wishing to take part in the Shaw Method Swimming must confirm that they are water confident and can put their heads under water without fear. Equipment needed are comfortable swimming goggles, a swimming cap, and if available, either a thermal suit or t-shirt – please keep in mind that working quietly and slowly in the water in the early mornings can get cold.
Pool times are scheduled for four participants in shifts of 30 minutes between 8am and 9:30am. If attending yoga, participants wanting to join the pool time will have to leave a few minutes early to join the 8am group.
Dry Land practice is part of the Shaw Method for swimming and allows participants to practice on land before going into the pool. Dry land practices are set to happen the day before the actual pool practice.
Various pools are available for individual practice throughout the day.
Lessons are available on Thursday, Friday and Saturday from 8:45-9:30am, 5-5:45, 5:45-6:30pm, and 6:30-7:15pm. The free lessons will be assigned beforehand. Remaining slots for extra lessons are available for $70 USD.
